What You'll Do As a Curriculum Developer for John Deere Power Systems, located in Waterloo, IA, you will develop or project manage training or performance improvement materials in support of engine and drivetrain products, processes, or systems. In addition you will: Participate in a curriculum development process to ensure performance gaps are addressed in an analysis phase and contribute in design of a performance improvement solution. Create and implement a short term/long term training plan by working with various stakeholders in supporting products, processes, and systems. Foster relationships with inter- and intra-departmental stakeholders to secure resources needed for development, work with enterprise stakeholders to ensure course content and material is technically accurate and meets the course design requirements; obtain feedback on performance improvement materials. Assist in the transition of developed materials to the Global training delivery groups responsible for delivering the materials. Assist in the development and promotion of materials designed for intended audiences. Ensure accuracy of developed material and address any issues experienced throughout the documented training development process. Work with in and contribute to a highly collaborative and performing development team. What It Takes We need an excellent communicator, who thrives on solving problems and working in a collaborative team environment. Ideally, you will have a Bachelors degree in a Business/Management, Education, Engineering/Technology related discipline or equivalent relevant work experience. In addition, we require: Experience with dealers and other distribution channels including Sales & Service business practices, ideally with John Deere dealerships. Experience with diesel engine technology. Technical experience with diesel engine and drivetrain technology. Project management experience and demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and/or tasks. Demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Proficiency with Microsoft office programs. Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% both domestically and internationally. A strong candidate will also have: 1+ years training development or delivery experience. 1+ years marketing or customer support experience. 1+ years field sales and/or product support experience. 1+ year experience in a variety of marketing and manufacturing /engineering roles that demonstrate a broad general business aptitude.
